Program Description

This degree will provide you with detailed knowledge of the state-of-the-art methodologies and techniques relevant to current and future strategies for the design of mechanical systems and components. We will pay particular attention to the development of investigative, modelling and computational strategies. The course covers fluid dynamics, solid structures, advanced and conventional materials and control systems.This degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). You have the option of choosing to study this course ‘with industry’ in which a paid industrial placement forms part of your course, including your overall assessment through reflective learning. Whether or not you opt for the ‘with industry’ variant of the course, it is designed to give you the tools to work towards a career in a wide variety of fields in the engineering and technical industries.

Admission Requirements

• Hold a Bachelors degree from a University with a First class classification and an average of at least 60/75% (in a relevant subject such as Mechanical Engineering)

Remarks:

• IELTS Waiver for Indian Students - At least 70% marks in English language course in Higher Secondary School.
• For Indian Students:- Also accept, as evidence of English language skills, an undergraduate degree from one of the following Indian universities (including affiliated colleges): Anna University, Mumbai University, Pune University, Bangalore University, University of Delhi, University of Madras, Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT).
• Industry placement (optional) available for this course(duration 24-28 months).
