Program Description

The MSc in Business Analysis and Finance provides you with the opportunity to apply your knowledge of economics to the analysis of business problems and finance. The course combines advanced academic learning with real-world practical insights and will open up a wide range of career opportunities.

By taking this MSc, you will gain advanced knowledge and expertise in quantitative techniques and have the opportunity to apply those skills to problem solving in the areas of business regulation, organisation and finance. The course will equip you with computer skills which can be applied to business data analysis and develop your confidence in the use and presentation of economic arguments in your professional role.To help you develop the skills that leading employers ask for, and let you see how traders work, we have 16 Bloomberg terminals in the ULSB Trading Room in the School of Business. On completion of the MSc you will be prepared for a wide variety of careers in management, the civil service and international organisations.

Many of our students have gone on to work in major banks, companies, and governments, or pursued careers in academia and education. A postgraduate qualification from the University of Leicester is career changing. It can be the spring board to promotion with your current employer, the platform from which to launch a new career, or simply an aid to becoming more effective in your current role.

Admission Requirements

• Hold a Bachelors degree from a University with a First class classification and an average of at least 60/75% (with some mathematical or statistical content)

• IELTS Waiver for Indian Students - At least 70% marks in English language course in Higher Secondary School.
• For Indian Students:- Also accept, as evidence of English language skills, an undergraduate degree from one of the following Indian universities (including affiliated colleges): Anna University, Mumbai University, Pune University, Bangalore University, University of Delhi, University of Madras, Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT).
