Program Description

If you are fascinated by the relationship between employers and employees then our Human Resource Management BA is for you. We will expose you to the realities of the managerial experience in both the public and private sectors, and the relevance of theory for the solution of management problems. You will to combine your studies of management with a specialist focus on organisational studies. This allows you to acquire a wide range of critical and analytical skills, along with a range of communication and team-working skills, which will be directly transferable to the workplace whatever career you choose to follow.

You will gain a comprehensive grounding in the functions of management and its role in successfully managing people and organisations. This is underpinned by critical analysis of the organisational context in which managers and employees work.All our lives at work are shaped by the cultural, legal and economic factors of labour markets and this course will prepare you to engage with these issues in critical and practical ways. You will be inspired to question the ethical and social responsibilities of the organisations that affect all our lives whether as customers, employees or citizens.

Admission Requirements

Standard XII awarded by the CISCE/CBSE, or another recognised state exam board, with at least 75% overall, you may be considered for admission to a first year Bachelors degree. For many courses at the University of Leicester, you will need 80% overall or higher, along with higher individual marks of 85% in relevant subjects.
