BA Hons Primary Education With QTS

Program Description

This undergraduate course is designed for students who are committed to becoming primary school teachers. In only three years, you will gain a BA (Hons) degree and Qualified Teacher Status. Your degree will focus on children's rights, values and learning. This course trains you to teach the five to eleven age range, but this will not restrict you to working with this age group. You will study pedagogy and subject knowledge covering both the Early Years Foundation Stage and National Curriculum.  East London offers multicultural, multilingual and vibrant schools in which to learn, but your training at UEL will qualify you to teach anywhere in England or Wales.

UEL's Primary Education with QTS team is made up of experienced practitioners and researchers, who research a range of childhood issues and who have diverse experience in Primary and Early Years education.   With high graduate employability, this qualification provides a wide range of opportunities for career development across the primary education sector. 

Admission Requirements

  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 / All India Senior School Certificate / Indian School Certificate / Intermediate Pass Certificate with an overall average of 60%

  • Indian Students for IELTS Waiver
    • At least 70% marks in English language course in Higher Secondary School
    • IELTS waiver for Kerala State Board : 65%
