The course is designed to celebrate the distinctive nature of Architecture as a discipline which spans the sciences and the arts.
Studio based learning creates a holistic and integrated teaching and learning environment. Along with individual projects you will undertake collaborative projects with students on master’s courses in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing. A wide range of workshop facilities will be available to you during lectures and also during independent study periods, subject to availability.
The course is informed by an advisory panel of practicing architects including lecturers with industry experience as well as guest lecturers, to ensure a strong and collaborative bond between practice and academia.
We actively provide opportunities for students on this course to engage in international collaboration through field trips, online interactive learning and opportunities for international exchanges.
The Architecture MArch encourages our students to be both curious and critical of the factors that shape the built environment. The structure of the course also reflects an integration of and consideration for human values that should help and support you with finding roles for architecture in contemporary society.
Students must achieve 60% in a 3 Year Undergraduate Degree or 55% in a 4 Year.Undergraduate Degree Students from the following Universities will be considered with 55% in a 3 Year Undergraduate Degree (unless applying for Health and Life Science courses): Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai (Madras), Anna, Amity, Andhra Pradesh, Aligarh Muslim, Pune, Bangalore and JNTU.
65% in Standard XII English language from certain examination boards only (Central boards, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Uttarakhand)
OR
IELTS 6.5 overall with no component lower than 5.5 (except where course requirements are higher) and other acceptable SELT tests such as the Pearson Test of English (PTE).
Students not meeting the above can take the Coventry University English Test.
