Program Description

Our Informatics BSc (Hons) course could broaden your technical IT skills and successful completion could potentially boost your career. The course enables you to ‘top-up’ your existing qualifications – an undergraduate level certificate, diploma or equivalent in computing or related fields – to the internationally recognised ‘honours degree’ classification. Study the most recent developments in today’s web-intensive environment, such as cloud computing, rapid application development and cybersecurity. We also aim to give you an understanding of the social, legal and ethical aspects of the modern computing environment.

On successful completion of this programme, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of computing in the field and specialism that you have partly chosen through your optional modules. This should provide you with a base of knowledge that you can use in further study or in employment.

Admission Requirements

• Indian Students-Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or the Equivalent to 65% of total GPA.
• Arab Students need to meet any of the following-
  • Students who hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) from High School with a minimum score of 30 overall.
  • Students who have 3 A-level passes with a minimum grade of C or above.
  • Students who hold a Diploma with 2.5 GPA out of 4 or 3.0 CGPA out of 5 (subject to syllabus match).
  • Students who completed American high school should have 2 APs with 2 points or higher.
  • Students who hold Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or Central Board of Secondary Education.
