Program Description

Our Languages for Global Communication gives you the following opportunities and benefits:

• There’s a broad range of modules built around four interwoven strands: language learning and teaching, intercultural awareness, international relations and business communication.
• You will have an opportunity to gain the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT), accredited by Cambridge Assessment English, at no extra cost. The TKT is currently a globally recognised professional qualification in over 60 countries.
• You will have an opportunity to prepare for DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française), DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera), HSK (Hànyǔ Shuǐpíng Kǎoshì), or CAE (Cambridge Advanced English). Registration for the tests may incur additional costs.
• You can learn other languages at no extra cost.
• You can develop a broad range of skills and knowledge which are desirable for many post-graduation roles including teaching, translation, public sector work, foreign service or private business.
• A chance to develop a dynamic online presence through creating an individual ‘A Domain of One’s Own’ website, which allows graduates to present prospective employers with an online portfolio of the variety of their degree-level work.

Since our degree develops the ability to use language effectively and appropriately in a range of circumstances, it may open up a wide range of career options associated with language proficiency, such as translation, the foreign service, marketing, public relations, advertising, teaching, the civil service or the media.

Admission Requirements

• Indian Students-Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or the Equivalent to 65% of total GPA.
• Arab Students need to meet any of the following-
  • Students who hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) from High School with a minimum score of 30 overall.
  • Students who have 3 A-level passes with a minimum grade of C or above.
  • Students who hold a Diploma with 2.5 GPA out of 4 or 3.0 CGPA out of 5 (subject to syllabus match).
  • Students who completed American high school should have 2 APs with 2 points or higher.
  • Students who hold Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or Central Board of Secondary Education.
