Program Description

International Hospitality and Tourism Management BA (Hons) course aims to prepare you for a range of career opportunities in hospitality and tourism. It aims to:

• build your professional competencies
• reflect the major trends considered as transforming the industry today: from a greater emphasis on sustainability and technological advances, to changing customer expectations to new concepts of luxury.
• give you an opportunity to gain relevant business insights through the classroom delivery of real-world case studies live projects and business simulations, field trips*, work-placement opportunities and study abroad.

When you graduate, you could choose a career pathway in tourism or hospitality, or work for a large organisation which spans both. You might join an independent hotel or a chain (either in the UK or overseas), on a graduate programme or in a permanent named role. You could work for a tour operator, a travel agency, an airline or a cruise company, or work in incentive or corporate travel. Roles will also be open to you in publishing, PR, journalism, IT or consultancy, for example, where they relate to hospitality and tourism.

Admission Requirements

• Indian Students-Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate with a minimum GPA of 3.5 or the Equivalent to 65% of total GPA.
• Arab Students need to meet any of the following-
  • Students who hold an International Baccalaureate (IB) from High School with a minimum score of 30 overall.
  • Students who have 3 A-level passes with a minimum grade of C or above.
  • Students who hold a Diploma with 2.5 GPA out of 4 or 3.0 CGPA out of 5 (subject to syllabus match).
  • Students who completed American high school should have 2 APs with 2 points or higher.
  • Students who hold Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations or Central Board of Secondary Education.
