Through consultation with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), former students and employers, the undergraduate Housing Studies courses at Cardiff Met have been designed to reflect the demands of the sector and ensure that our graduates are equipped with the appropriate knowledge and professional skills required in the market place. The professional qualification is fully embedded within the Housing Studies programmes. This course is designed to provide a professionally recognised qualification in housing. The BSc (Hons) Housing Studies and CIH Diploma in Housing Studies courses lead to an academic qualification, which provides a professional qualification accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing. Housing continues to grow as a priority at local, regional and national government levels. As a result, housing employers are expanding and diversifying into partnership working and community regeneration, which has created a great employment potential both at service delivery and strategic levels.
