Program Description

This MSc in Civil Engineering with Industrial Practice is ideal for graduates looking to advance their careers in engineering managerial roles, manufacturing, or commercial enterprise.This two-year civil engineering master's allows graduates and engineers to update their skills and technical knowledge to serve the future demands of the construction industry. You'll discover more about civil engineering design and the management issues that arise in construction and civil engineering. You'll also improve your technical, professional and management skills through an independent project and a one-year internship with a related employer in the field. The course is aimed at engineering and technology graduates who wish to pursue managerial roles in engineering and manufacturing. Students on this course will be able to discuss career options with organisations such as Atkins Global and the Environment Agency and review the next steps to becoming a Chartered Engineer.

Admission Requirements

• General Requirement
  • Indian Students- Four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% in Final Year (However, if graduating from one of the top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University and Madras University; a minimum of 50% in final year is required). 
    Note: More specialised courses require four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 65% in final year.(However, if graduating from one of the top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University and Madras University; a minimum of 60% in final year is required).
  • Arab Students-Bachelors Degree with 60% or GPA 2.5/4 for UK 2:2 and GPA 3/4 for UK 2.1
• An appropriate accredited degree in civil engineering (2.2 or above) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Applicants with a BSc Civil Engineering (IEng) will also be considered.
  • You may also be considered if you do not have a first degree but have professional incorporated and vocational experience (e.g. incorporated engineer status) and demonstrate the potential to succeed on the course.
