Program Description

Build on your knowledge and develop new skills for industry with this IET-accredited Master’s in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. For those with previous knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering, this MSc Electrical and Electronic Engineering course provides the advanced knowledge and skills to develop professional engineers. Our students develop insight into industrial applications and requirements as well as management issues relating to engineering businesses. You'll also gain comprehensive knowledge of leading-edge ICT tools and techniques with the help of our world-class engineering laboratories.

You can pursue your specialist interests through the project element of the course. Many of the projects undertaken by our students reflect the key research interests of the faculty, such as embedded systems, electronic manufacturing and control and instrumentation. Projects can also be derived from our links with industry.

• This course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology as satisfying the further learning requirements for chartered engineer (CEng) registration. Individuals must hold a CEng-accredited honours degree as well as the accredited MSc for full exemption to CEng status

Admission Requirements

• General Requirement
  • Indian Students- Four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% in Final Year (However, if graduating from one of the top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University and Madras University; a minimum of 50% in final year is required). 
    Note: More specialised courses require four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 65% in final year.(However, if graduating from one of the top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University and Madras University; a minimum of 60% in final year is required).
  • Arab Students-Bachelors Degree with 60% or GPA 2.5/4 for UK 2:2 and GPA 3/4 for UK 2.1
• An appropriate degree (2.2 or equivalent qualification) in electrical and/or electronic engineering.
  • Students without a first degree but with professional and vocational experience (e.g. incorporated engineer or chartered engineer status) may be considered if they demonstrate the potential to succeed on the course.
