MSc Film Production
Program Description
This MSc Film Production helps you develop a critical and practical approach to production workflows, digital film technology, and the creative practices involved in film production.We focus on helping you grow your creative abilities to a high professional standard. Film production is an increasingly dynamic sector and this course highlights the importance of practice-based research and film projects. Teaching takes place in brand new film production facilities, which includes studios, post-production suites and a sound studio.
The MSc route includes courses on the technological aspects of filmmaking, including cinematography, production practice, film research, and editing. An alternative MA route explores areas such as writing, directing and producing. Optional courses cover topics such as directing screen performance and sound design. You will also use digital camera equipment currently used in the industry, including RED, Canon C300 and Arri Alexa systems.

- General Requirement
- Indian Students- Four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% in Final Year (However, if graduating from one of the top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University and Madras University; a minimum of 50% in final year is required).
Note: More specialised courses require four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 65% in final year.(However, if graduating from one of the top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University and Madras University; a minimum of 60% in final year is required). - Arab Students-Bachelors Degree with 60% or GPA 2.5/4 for UK 2:2 and GPA 3/4 for UK 2.1
- You should have an honours degree 2:2 or above in a relevant subject. If you have a good honours degree in another discipline, we may consider your application if your profile and motivation indicate a substantial interest in the fields of media and creativity. You will need an open mind towards interdisciplinary work and you must be capable of theoretical and methodological rigour.
