Program Description
Gannon’s global cultures program plays a central role in the University’s mission to prepare globally responsible citizens. You’ll gain a comprehensive educational experience and learn about a world that is increasingly diverse, international and interdependent. Develop critical knowledge about global history, politics, intercultural communication, cross-cultural psychology and fundamentals of business practice that will lead you to your future career or prepare you for graduate education. Gain real-world knowledge through key global cultures courses including:
- Music of Latin America: Study the rich cultural and musical heritages of Latin America, including the European, African and Amerindian contributions to Latin American culture and music.
- France and the Francophone World: Explore contemporary cultural, political and social climate in France and the Francophone world with topics including media, the role of women, and religious, ethnic and racial diversity.
- Women in Middle East History: Understand Middle Eastern history through the prism of women’s experiences; explore women’s contributions to building a vast and varied civilization; study historical roots of contested issues related to Middle Eastern women.
Admission Requirements
- A minimum GPA of 3/4 or B Grade in Year 12th or equivalent.
