Mechanical engineering is among the most versatile of engineering fields with career opportunities available across the nation. Gannon’s mechanical engineering program will prepare you to design, analyze, test, develop, research and manufacture an array of products while driving solutions that meet specified needs locally and globally. Gain real-world knowledge through key mechanical engineering courses including: 

• Strength of Materials: Learn about different stresses in mechanical components and how to calculate safety factors for a component under a certain load.
• Engineering Thermodynamics: Understand the fundamentals of energy-related topics including energy exchange and transfer and operations of energy systems.
• Manufacturing Laboratory: Study selected aspects of the manufacturing process. Set up and operate machines, manufacture simple parts, measure process variables and more.

Admission Requirements

• A minimum GPA of 3/4 or B Grade in Year 12th or equivalent.
