Program Description

Psychologists engage in a scientific study of the brain, behavior and cognitive processes to understand human experience and behavior. Gannon’s psychology program emphasizes laboratory research and statistics to prepare you for master’s and doctoral programs, and laboratory and research careers. Learn to apply quantitative and analytical techniques and develop foundational psychological knowledge through significant research and laboratory experience to secure your meaningful career in the field. Gain real-world knowledge through key psychology courses including:

• Advanced Research Methods: Develop and conduct original, independent research for presentation at the Celebrate Gannon academic festival and the Western Pennsylvania Undergraduate Psychology Conference.
• Multivariate Statistics:  An advanced course for students who want to pursue expertise in statistics and research - one that is rarely offered in an undergraduate curriculum. 
• Psychometrics: An advanced course in test development and evaluation is highly regarded among graduate programs in clinical, quantitative, school and human factors psychology.

Admission Requirements

• A minimum GPA of 3/4 or B Grade in Year 12th or equivalent.
