Program Description
Careers in the sciences are increasingly in demand. If you want to enter this field but haven’t decided what sort of career you’d like to pursue, Gannon University’s science program might be for you. We will provide you with a broad background in an array of scientific fields to prepare you with the knowledge and skills needed to pursue the career path that best fits you. Gain real-world knowledge through key science courses including:
- Tropical Marine Biology: Offered over spring break in the Bahamas, this immersive course will have you investigating ecological systems such as coral reefs, mangroves, beaches, tidal pools and inland habitats.
- Environmental Toxicology: Study the properties, effects and detection of chemical substances in the environment and learn how that information is used to protect human health. Topics to be covered include dose-response relationships, biotransformation and risk assessment.
- General Chemistry: Discover the fundamental theories and principles of chemistry and their relevance to issues in modern society.
- Applied Statistics: Study an introduction to statistics and probability designed for all majors.
Admission Requirements
- A minimum GPA of 3/4 or B Grade in Year 12th or equivalent.
