Program Description

Fashion Buying and Merchandising requires strong commercial and analytical foundations as the roles are key to the success of any fashion business.  This course is designed to provide students with an appreciation of the fashion drivers needed to become a buyer and merchandiser in this complex, challenging retail world.

The BSc (Hons) Fashion Buying and Merchandising course provides students with a thorough understanding of all aspects of the global circular supply chain. This includes digital innovations, digital assets and virtual fashion, which are all key aspects of the future of the fashion industry. The breadth of knowledge gained from this course also includes product innovation, market analysis and business analytics with the essential skills needed to not only secure graduate employment or start a new business, but for career progression to more senior functions through the focus on business strategy and the management of people.  Students who graduate from this programme will have the ability to experiment with fresh approaches and have creativity and commercial acumen for the future buying and merchandising roles.

Admission Requirements

General Requirement:-

• Arab Students:-You must have at least one of the following:
  • Tawjihiyah plus foundation year
  • a higher technical institute diploma
  • a junior health college diploma
  • an associate degree
  • an undergraduate diploma
• Indian Students:- You must have both:
  • Require 60% or above in Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard XII)
  • Require 60% or above in English Language and Mathematics in Standard X.

• IELTS Waiver for Indian Students:-
  • We will accept the following XII standard English State Boards with a score of 70% or above as an alternative to IELTS: CBSE, CISCE (ISC)
  • We will accept the following XII standard English State Boards with a score of 80% or above as an alternative to IELTS: Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu,  West Bengal Boards
