Program Description

Chemical engineers are involved in every aspect of our lives, from the food we eat to the medicine we take to stay alive and the gas we put into our vehicles. As part of the Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering program at Trine University, you will follow in the footsteps of some of the nation’s top chemical engineers. Guided by faculty with engineering work experiences from industry-leading companies such as BP Biofuels, Pfizer, Shell Oil and Koch Industries with doctorates from Yale, Rice, Michigan State and Northwestern universities, you will benefit from a truly exceptional experience. Faculty ensure you will obtain the skills and preparation needed to be successful in your future professional and academic career.

From the start of your time at Trine, you will be immersed in the close-knit atmosphere of the program. You will be invited on plant trips, exposed to professional and academic speakers, paired with an industrial mentor and given the opportunity to compete in national competitions or perform undergraduate research. All seniors are given the opportunity to attend the AIChE National Conference at a reduced cost.
