BS in CSIT with Health Informatics Concentration

Program Description

New technology and laws have resulted in an explosion of healthcare data. The U.S. Department of Labor predicts 13 percent job growth from 2014 to 2026 for health information technicians. The health informatics concentration within the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) at Trine University prepares you to be part of this growing field. The health informatics concentration prepares you for jobs ranging from medical record coding to using biosensors and technology to monitor health. Graduates who have this degree and concentration can work as a data scientist or a health informatics employee at a large hospital, or even a data manager.

CSIT graduates are also prepared for prestigious graduate schools and can pursue a variety of programs, including information and management science, information science, biomedical informatics, information security, information technology, and technical law.
