BSc (Hons) Children’s & Young People’s Nursing
Program Description
Accredited by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), this course will prepare you to become a caring and compassionate professional who delivers quality care for children and young people.
- Caring for children and young people is a challenging but rewarding career. You’ll work closely with children, young people - from newborns to adolescents - and their families
- Focused on the healthcare needs of children and young people, this course will teach you the theory, diagnostic and practical skills needed to care for children and young people
- 50% of the course is spent in practice placements to gain nursing experience in diverse locations including schools, children’s hospital wards and community settings like children’s hospices
- Become immersed in the science and art of child-centred nursing in our newly built skills facilities including simulated hospital wards and community home settings. 100% of graduates are either working or studying fifteens months after graduating
- Learn from experienced and knowledgeable registered nurses and other healthcare practitioners
- Our annual Careers Fair has numerous healthcare exhibitors in attendance, helping you to gain employment as a registered nurse on completion of the course.
Admission Requirements
- Indian Students Requirement:-
- You can apply to study a Bachelor’s degree from year one if you hold a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Standard XII and have achieved an average percentage of at least 65% (although some courses will require this to be higher).
- You can undertake a Foundation Certificate before going on to an undergraduate course if you have successfully completed 12 years of schooling in India and achieved a minimum of UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.0.
- Arab Students Requirement:-
- You can apply to study from year one of a Bachelor's degree from year one if you have completed:
- A foundation programme
- A Levels, or
- International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma.
- Twelve years’ schooling in Saudi Arabia and minimum IELTS 5.0
