Program Description
With the equal split of theory and practical elements, this course will prepare you to fulfil the role of a modern-day paramedic, ready for an ever-changing and evolving workforce.
- The course maintains small cohort sizes resulting in excellent lecturer-to-student ratio meaning more support, education and resource availability, throughout your three years.
- Experience over 2,000 hours of placement experience throughout the course in a diverse array of settings.
- This course is endorsed by the College of Paramedics and approved by the HCPC, so you will be able to register as a qualified practitioner once you graduate. 88% of or allied health graduates were either in employment or higher education within 15 months of graduating.
- Practice in state-of-the-art facilities at our brand-new Bournemouth Gateway Building, including a newly built ambulance simulation suite, hospital wards and community home settings.
- There are opportunities to undertake training and exercises at external locations across the region
- As well as providing emergency care for critically ill patients, you will develop advanced assessment and decision-making skills so you can decide the appropriate referral method for less seriously unwell patients.
Admission Requirements
- Indian Students Requirement:-
- You can apply to study a Bachelor’s degree from year one if you hold a Higher Secondary School Certificate/Standard XII and have achieved an average percentage of at least 65% (although some courses will require this to be higher).
- You can undertake a Foundation Certificate before going on to an undergraduate course if you have successfully completed 12 years of schooling in India and achieved a minimum of UKVI IELTS (Academic) 5.0.
- Arab Students Requirement:-
- You can apply to study from year one of a Bachelor's degree from year one if you have completed:
- A foundation programme
- A Levels, or
- International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma.
- Twelve years’ schooling in Saudi Arabia and minimum IELTS 5.0
