Program Description

The purpose of this program is to provide an additional quality pathway to AR teacher licensure for our region and state. Individuals seeking to enter public school teaching with bachelor’s degrees are eligible to earn initial licensure through the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree. The MAT includes Teacher Education core courses along with specialized courses to create a Masters Program for initial licensure. To provide curricula/instruction to enhance development of physical, mental, social and emotional qualities essential for living a quality life while providing quality professional preparation programs that meet appropriate standards at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Admission Requirements

You should have an undergraduate degree Grade Point Average of at least 2.75/4.0
