Bachelor of Science in Health Studies
Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Health Studies degree serves a three-fold purpose for students that are:
- Planning to seek employment in a health or health related area upon graduation;
- Desiring a bachelor’s degree following an associate’s degree in health disciplines and
- Planning a health career that requires a post-baccalaureate plan of study.
This degree does not lead to a professional credential or state licensure. It does prepare students for roles in community health, support services, health care navigation, claims services, medical sales and patient services. Online certification is available in some areas such as compliance officer, health advocate and coding specialist.
Admission Requirements
- Freshmen applicants who meet one of the following criteria will receive automatic admission to Arkansas State:
- 3.0 cumulative high school grade point average (or GED test score equivalent) OR
- 19 minimum ACT super score or minimum 990 combined SAT super score OR
- Class rank in the top 20% of applicant's graduating class
- High School Marks(India, Nepal, Pakistan) 60% in English at X & XII in Certificate.
