Program Description

In addition to our rigorous academic program, students are provided with many opportunities to work side-by-side with faculty on research projects such as developing improved flame retardants, studying biodegradation of polymer coatings and discovering new photodynamic lung cancer treatments. Recent graduates are employed as scientists in academia, industry and government, or pursuing postgraduate education. Our students follow their vocation and choose the path best suited for them. A Bachelor of Arts degree is less mathematically demanding than the B.S. programs and allows students to take courses in the humanities and social sciences to supplement their chemistry studies. Students in the Bachelor of Science track will engage in original research opportunities.
