As a UD Dietetics major, you'll thrive in an environment where hands-on learning, professionalism, leadership, and evidence-based practice are at the forefront. Students are mentored and taught by faculty who are registered and licensed dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) to support your growth and development, both in and out of the classroom. The curriculum, along with local and international experiential learning opportunities, supports students in developing the knowledge and skills required for early selection into UD's Masters of Dietetics and Nutrition and Premier Dietetic Internship program. The University of Dayton Dietetics program takes a holistic approach to the academic and professional development of the student as a whole person. Students benefit from small class sizes and mentoring from faculty, their peers and registered dietitians and food service management professionals. The program's integrative coursework & experiences help to build a strong natural and social science foundation for the integration of nutritional and social sciences. Students also have opportunities to practice knowledge and develop professional skills through community, research and interdisciplinary experiences.
