MSE Teacher as Leader

Program Description

As a student in the Teacher as Leader program at the University of Dayton, you'll learn the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue professional development and leadership opportunities outside of building and district administration. Teachers pursuing this degree fulfill roles such as instructional leader, lead teacher, mentor teacher and curriculum committee member. All candidates in the program must complete the Teacher as Leader core sequence; several options are available for specialty areas. The Teacher as Leader program does not meet the requirements for the State of Ohio-issued Teacher Leader endorsement, which is a post-master's program.
