Program Description

Become the complete engineer with the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Dayton.  We offer cooperative education, service-learning, and innovative design programs to help you achieve your goals. In addition, we have a long history of innovation, design, and manufacturing in our region, benefiting aspiring engineers. We view an engineer as a well-rounded person with technical skills and a human-centered mindset. Our faculty and staff mentor our students for successful careers in mechanical engineering that align with personal interests by bringing state-of-the-art research and modern engineering challenges into the classroom. Along with a high retention rate through graduation, we engage students through experiential learning, and we have an extremely high job and graduate school placement rate.
