Program Description

The Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology is a rigorous, streamlined, pre-professional program unique in Southeast Florida that will enable students to pursue competitive professional training programs in the health sciences. This program is tailored for students who seek entrance into top-tier schools in the fields of medicine, veterinary science, pharmacology, and more.   Students pursuing a master’s or a doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, or Psychology, including those at FAU, will also find the B.S. in Medical Biology an attractive path.  Students majoring in Medical Biology will benefit from a challenging, highly-structured course plan designed to fulfill the prerequisites of medically-focused programs through pre-selected core and elective courses that will prepare students for professional entrance exams, moving students one step closer to their academic and professional goals. This structured flight plan offers students a streamlined path to completing the degree. In addition to the robust coursework, students will have the opportunity to actively participate in all phases of research alongside world-class researchers – from the planning and execution of an experiment to the analysis and dissemination of the results, in the areas of biology, chemistry, neuroscience, and biomedical science
