MS Mechanical Engineering

Program Description

The Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering offers two options for a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME): a thesis option that requires a minimum of 24 credits of coursework and a thesis (6 additional credits), and a non-thesis option that requires a minimum of 30* credits of coursework (no thesis). All students choosing the MS thesis option and receiving financial assistance must be full-time students. This requires that they are registered for a minimum of 9 credits in the fall semester, 9 credits in the spring semester, and 6 credits for the summer semester. All international students must be registered as full-time students. A maximum of 12 credits may be taken in a semester. In the graduation semester the student may be allowed to take one credit.

Admission Requirements

  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0
  • B.S. in Engineering or related field 
  • GRE is required; there are no minimum sub-score requirements

Remarks:

  • 15 years of Education accepted from NAAC 'A' accredited university with a First Class ranking.
  • I20(Visa Letter) can be obtained only after submitting a bank statement with a balance of USD $40,664.
