Program Description

The Engineering: Civil, M.S. program provides students with experience in applied research, teaching and experiential learning. Curriculum includes finite element analysis, structural analysis and design, engineering materials, pavement design, infrastructure systems analysis and design, and statistics and design of experiments. Graduates will be ready to solve real-life problems civil engineering through practical and creative analytical and technical thinking. They will gain communication, leadership and team building skills to solve emerging technologies and they will be able to bring a multidisciplinary approach to solving problems in the field of structure, transportation, materials, water resources, and environment.

Admission Requirements

Students must:

• A baccalaureate degree in Engineering or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university or foreign equivalent.
• A 2.70 minimum GPA for all undergraduate work taken for the baccalaureate degree. All GPAs are based on a 4.0 point scale.
• Two Applications: (1) Graduate School Application and (2) Program Application
• GRE scores may be required.  The GRE is waived for students who have a baccalaureate degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college.  All students with a baccalaureate degree from a non-ABET accredited college applying for admission to an Engineering master's program are required to submit their Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores
