Program Description

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is designed for licensed teachers who seek to deepen their insights into curriculum, instruction, and evaluation of English Learners. Completion of the program, along with a passing score on the required state exam, will qualify a student for a Tennessee endorsement as an ESL teacher. Admission Requirements

Students must:

• A baccalaureate degree in Engineering or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university or foreign equivalent.
•  A minimum grade point average of 2.75 on all undergraduate work taken toward the baccalaureate degree or a 3.0 in the last 60 hours
• Two Applications: (1) Graduate School Application and (2) Program Application
• PRAXIS CORE scores or proof of current teaching licensure.
