Program Description

The Public Health: Chronic Disease Prevention and Control, M.P.H. program is dedicated to educating and training future public health professionals to be leaders and innovators committed to combating chronic diseases through an environment rich in learning, community engagement, and service. The program integrates a biological, behavioral, and ecological perspective to understand how physical activity, proper nutrition and other health behaviors impact the development of chronic diseases at the community, national, and global level. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) Master of Public Health (MPH) program, with a concentration in Chronic Disease Prevention and Control is an interdisciplinary program offered through the College of Health, Education and Professional Studies. This unique program is dedicated to educating and training future public health professionals to be leaders and innovators committed to combating chronic diseases through an environment rich in learning, community engagement and service. 

Admission Requirements

Students must:

  • Graduate School Application
  • GRE Scores required for the following:
    • International Students
    • Applicants with an undergraduate cumulative GPA less than 3.0
    • Graduated with another degree more than 10 years ago
