M.Ed. Secondary Education: English as a Second Language
Program Description
The Secondary Education: English as a Second Language (ESL) concentration is designed for licensed teachers who seek to deepen their insights into curriculum, instruction, and evaluation of English Learners. Completion of the program, along with a passing score on the required state exam, will qualify a student for a Tennessee endorsement as an ESL teacher.
Admission Requirements
Students must:
- Two Applications: (1) Graduate School Application and (2) Program Application:
- A baccalaureate degree in Engineering or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university or foreign equivalent.
- A3.0 minimum GPA for all undergraduate work taken for the baccalaureate degree. All GPAs are based on a 4.0 point scale.
- PRAXIS CORE scores or proof of current teaching licensure.
