Bachelor of Sociology -Diversity and Social Justice

Program Description

The specialization option in diversity and social justice prepares students for work in social movement/nonprofit organizations that focus in the area of gender/sex, sexuality, race, environment, class, disability, and other areas where injustices occur. The goal is to apply sociological knowledge to understanding theories for why social inequalities occur and for constructing logical and practical solutions for such inequalities. Students who receive a specialization in diversity and social justice complete an internship in a social movement/non-profit organization as part of their capstone course.

Admission Requirements

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale in Higher Secondary School.
