Program Description

The field of health services administration revolves around the efficient operation of health care facilities. Health service managers work behind the scenes and handle the business components of a physician group practice, a clinical or research department, or an entire facility. The field requires education in both healthcare and business. Health service managers have a wide range of responsibilities and are involved in directing changes that conform with changes in health care law and regulations, ethics, cultural competency, and technology.
