Program Description
The management information systems (MIS) graduate program is a STEM-designated business program. MIS is an applied business program that focuses on the areas of:
- Information systems
- Software development
- Computer system architectures
- Business intelligence and data analytics
- Information security
- Cloud management
- Related management issues
This program prepares students to practice and advance in positions such as:
- Systems analyst
- Business or data analyst
- Project leader or manager
- Technology manager
- Software developer
- System integrator
- System administrator
- Network administrator
- Consultant
Program curriculum includes specific foundation preparation, technology and management core courses, career track elective courses and a required capstone course.
Admission Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. The undergraduate major is typically in business. Individuals with other backgrounds who are interested in the program are invited to discuss their career objectives with the program director to determine if their goals are consistent with the objectives of their program
- An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale
