Program Description

The Bachelor of Science degree in Finance meets expressed demand from current St. Francis Management and Economics majors as well as employers who are looking for skilled graduates in the field of finance. Students will gain an understanding of the practical applications of skills and knowledge acquired through the Finance major.

Students will be able to articulate the connection between their coursework and fieldwork/internship placement and will ask questions for further learning and career exploration. The BS in Finance will prepare graduates for a career in a range of entities such as commercial banks, investment banks, mutual funds, insurance companies, and public institutions such as central banks and regulatory agencies, as well as within the corporate finance function of a firm. Underlying the focused, outcomes-driven curriculum is SFC’s robust General Education Program, which is the cornerstone of SFC and affirms its mission to graduate educated, well-rounded individuals who enter the workforce and work to change and culturally diversify the world.

Admission Requirements

• Students who have achieved a high school GPA of 71 or above will be fully admitted to the institution (with the exception of the nursing program).
• Students who have a GPA between 65 and 70 may participate in our conditional admittance program on a case-by-case basis.
