The Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion and Science at St. Francis Colleges teaches students how to teach and promote well-being. More than just moderating or eliminating potentially risky behavior, the program emphasizes personal decisions and behavioral choices. SFC prepares students to succeed in this increasingly important and growing field.
Through instruction in data collection, analysis and interpretation, and needs assessment, students gain experience designing and conducting health promotion programs and events. Learning is augmented through hands-on experience, such as service learning and internships at national health organizations including as the American Cancer Society, local community health organizations like Rivington House, and medical settings such as Brooklyn Medical Group and Methodist Hospital.
