Program Description

The General Biology concentration prepares students for a wide range of jobs and post-graduate options, including graduate school, health professions and others. It is an excellent choice for students who know they want to study biology but are not certain what their ultimate goal may be. There is a wide variety of job opportunities either in the lab, in the field, or a combination. Microbiologists, biochemists and agricultural scientists are employed in the private, nonprofit and government sectors. Some graduates go on to earn a master’s degree before taking the career plunge.
