Program Description

The School Counseling track of AUM’s Counselor Education program helps students develop skills and theories that are applicable in career settings such as:

• Private practice counseling
• School counseling
• Higher education
• Play therapy
• Adult development and aging/gerontology
• Assessment
• Non-traditional settings

Counselor Education courses use a blend of technology and media to support candidates in a variety of learning environments. These courses are designed to help counselors provide specially designed interventions for their clients and to work with diverse populations. AUM currently offers specialty counseling tracks in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. An internship is required.

Admission Requirements

• An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university. Official transcripts required at time of application. 
• A GPA of 2.5  is required.

• I20(Visa Letter) can be obtained only after submitting a bank statement with a balance of USD $27,363
