Program Description

Northeastern Illinois University's B.S. in Accounting is one of the six largest accounting programs in the state of Illinois. Accounting is the language of business. It’s essential that all small and large organizations have employees who understand basic accounting principles and can employ them for best business practices. In corporate, government, nonprofit and public accounting, the knowledge of debits and credits, financial statements and accounting information systems is basic for all business activities. The College of Business and Management offers flexible day, evening and weekend classes.

Admission Requirements

• Applicants who have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or above will automatically be admitted to the university and not be required to submit standardized test scores for admissions.
• Applicants who score below a 2.5 grade point average are encouraged to submit standardized test scores(ACT or SAT scores)
