Program Description

Western Michigan University's Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology is a two-year post-baccalaureate professional degree. We have designed this full-time residential program to prepare professionals with the knowledge, judgment and problem solving skills necessary to provide high quality services and leadership in speech-language pathology. We hope to enable our graduates to work effectively in an ever-changing world.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have:

• At least one course or transcript credit in each of the following areas: life sciences, physical sciences, social or behavioral sciences and statistics.
• At least three semester credit hours in behavioral or social sciences.
• At least 15 semester credit hours, or the equivalent, of courses that provide information on basic human communication processes, including at least one course each in phonetics, speech and language development, and the science of speech and hearing.
• At least 12 semester credit hours, or the equivalent, of coursework in speech, language, and hearing disorders.
• GPA of at least 3.0 in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate study and in all undergraduate audiology and speech-language pathology coursework.

• Yearly tuition fee is given.
• 33 credit program(per credit cost USD $1,096).
• I20(Visa Letter) can be obtained only after submitting a bank statement with a balance of USD $30,760.
