Program Description

Political science provides students with the broad training necessary to become successful professionals in a variety of fields, as well as engaged democratic citizens. As such, the purpose of the political science program is to foster the development of vital skills, such as critical thinking, communication, and analytical abilities in our students in order to prepare them for both a broad range of career choices and the pursuit of lifelong learning. When you reach graduation, you’ll have the skills to take on careers that include:

Admission Requirements

• Although not required for admission purposes, applicants are strongly encouraged to submit SAT or ACT scores to the university for academic advising and enrollment purposes.
• Students who graduate high school within the high school class quartile below will be guaranteed admission if the required diploma type is earned.
• Students who attend a non-ranking high school, will be provided a class ranking based off of their GPA and the admissions office's internal ranking system.
