Program Description

The Master of Architecture [MARCH +3] is a three year professional degree focused on architectural design and practice. The degree is accredited through the National Architectural Accrediting Board(NAAB). The professional Master of Architecture (MARCH +3) degree is a STEM designated professional degree program for students without previous degrees in architecture.

The seven semester program consists of 99 academic credits that include the course work described below. Some students may have already taken university courses meeting or exceeding the requirements described below. For such students, the curriculum may be modified by substitution of electives for courses previously taken at another institution. The appropriate area coordinator and the Director of Graduate Studies must approve any General Petitions for substitutions in the degree plan. Students with deficiencies may be required to undertake additional course work.

Admission Requirements

• A student must have completed a baccalaureate degree with a 3.0 GPA over the last 60 hours of course work.
• This degree is intended for students already possessing an undergraduate bachelor’s degree in architecture or environmental design.
• Portfolios will be given the highest priority along with transcripts and letters of reference.
