Program Description

The Engineering Technology Department is one of four departments in the Washkewicz College of Engineering at Cleveland State University (CSU). The division was established in 1970. Currently, two programs are offered: Electronics Engineering Technology & Mechanical Engineering Technology.  The programs lead to the degrees of Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology, respectively.  Students who have earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Electronics/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology that satisfies all of the lower 2 years requirements may transfer into the upper two years of the programs as 2+2 students and complete the bachelor degree.

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology graduate is qualified to work in positions requiring the, "application of scientific and engineering knowledge and methods combined with technical skills in support of engineering activities," as stated by ABET. CSU's Engineering Technology graduates are employed in a diverse range of industries, including, industrial control and automation, aerospace, medical, computer, telecommunications, and defense industries. Most importantly, Engineering Technology prepares graduates to contribute immediately in these industries.

Admission Requirements

• A GPA of 2.7 is required in Year 12th.

• I20(Visa Letter) can be obtained only after submitting a bank statement with a balance of USD $51,950.
