This program has been designed to offer students the opportunity to major in both traditional and emerging financial fields. Course offerings give students a broad exposure to contemporary issues in the financial world. Courses in finance have been designed to meet the following objectives:
The program is practical and experiential; students will be well-prepared to make immediate impact in the field or respective workplace after graduation. Among a diverse population of students, we place an emphasis on personal and professional integrity, as well as the importance of social responsibility.Students have access to Trading Room and Bloomberg terminals to develop financial analytical skills and experience, preparing them for internship and research opportunities from leading Chicago-area businesses, as well as international study opportunities.
Each fall, finance students and faculty visit the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank for the annual “Day at the Fed” program; Roosevelt is the only university invited to attend from outside their region. Our Honor Program offers an enriched academic curriculum of interdisciplinary courses, which brings students and professors together in small classes and individual research settings.
