Program Description

The human resource management major at Roosevelt is unique given our small class sizes, student-focused faculty and real-world curriculum that prepare you for the demands of today's fast-changing HR landscape. Our faculty teach both theory and the real-world skills necessary to be a successful HR professional. You will get hands-on education that uses real-world cases, project, and experiential exercises to simulate precisely the types of activities you will do as a future HR professional, so that when you graduate you are prepared for the demands of the profession. Students majoring in HRM in the BSBA degree program can expect the following:

• Extensive coverage of human psychology theories in order to understand individual- and group-based human behavior in the workplace
• Technical coverage of the latest HR techniques as they relate to acquiring, motivating and retaining human talent in an organization
• Applied cases and projects that challenge students to think critically and solve real-world problems that will prepare them to handle future professional demands
• To be required to analyze and interpret conclusions from basic business data to aid in decision-making

Admission Requirements

• A GPA of 2.5 is required in high school.
• SAT/ACT scores optional.
