Program Description

Actuarial science applies statistics and risk management to solve business problems. Roosevelt graduates work on life and health insurance, property and casualty insurance, pension plans and other employee benefit plans.With an actuarial science degree, you’ll be qualified for a rewarding career ranked in the Top 20 Best Jobs by the U.S. News and World Report. The BA in actuarial science gives you the most flexibility in your electives so you can get the most out of the liberal arts experience.With a BS in actuarial science, you’ll broaden your background with five additional courses in a science such as computer science or biology. Both degrees include a finance minor. Actuaries earn an average salary of $111,030, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Roosevelt graduates hold job titles like:
