Program Description

Twenty-first century businesses, whether for-profit or nonprofit organizations, need individuals who can inspire and motivate others; make key decisions that positively influence the long-term health of the company; and solve problems quickly, efficiently, and appropriately. Leaders must also understand all facets of business from accounting to finance, marketing to analytics. With a BSBA degree from the College of Business and a major in Management and Leadership, you will have the wide-ranging business background and specialized skills to take on roles of authority. You’ll learn to oversee people and projects in such courses as Human Resources Management and Project Management, and also study business law and the successful interpersonal skills used by managers. You’ll gain valuable experience through internships and participation in the Management Association or in our more than 70 clubs/organizations. Our students have opportunities to connect with executive mentors and alumni professionals, including through the capstone RealTest simulation event as a senior. To jumpstart your career, you may also pursue the Five-year Bachelor/MS in Organizational Leadership combined degree.
