Program Description

The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering program provides an engineering science-intensive approach to increase students’ understanding and problem-solving abilities. Offering concentrations to tailor your field of study, the MS in Electrical Engineering is directed toward both full-time and part-time students with a special emphasis on providing training, experience in performing independent research on topics with theoretical as well as applied interest, and managing projects.

High-technology industries are an important sector of the economy, and an MS in Electrical Engineering will prepare you to meet industry demands in expertise, time management, and ethical practices. Concentrations in mechatronics, electrical, and computer engineering will allow you to specialize in an area of industry that suits your interests. With the All-course option you will complete 10 graduate courses that include open electives in which you will choose from courses in mechatronics, computer, or electrical engineering. Through the Project or Thesis options you will work with a faculty advisor to take a deeper dive in a topic of interest, culminating in your final report and presentation.

Admission Requirements

• Successful completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education in electrical engineering. Other related disciplines will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) is required for admission. Candidates with a lower GPA may be considered for conditional admittance or nondegree status.
• Programming competence in C, C++, Visual Basic, or FORTRAN.
• Candidates with an undergraduate degree not accredited by ABET are encouraged to submit a GRE score from the past five years.

• I20(Visa Letter) can be obtained only after submitting a bank statement with a balance of USD $40,650.
